Egypt

Greetings from Cairo:

Wow! what a place. There are 20 people and over 5 million cars in Cairo. You would not believe this place. I sure don't.

However before I get on that let me give you a quick run down of the previous week. We spent the week touring Isreali. The sights we saw were totally unbelieveable. Things that you have seen on TV and in the movies and then suddenly there you are standing there. For example there we were looking as the Western Wall (Wailing Wall). How many times have you seen it on TV? Wow. Or how about this, we were in this one church which was built over the place where Jesus was crusified and buried. How is that for a mind blower? But wait then we are on a bus going to Bethleham to see where Jesus was born. It is in side the Palistine quarters. So we have to pass though guard towers which are bristling with 50 calibur machine guns. Sacry! However there was lots of fun stuff as well. We toured the Dead Sea where the salt is so concentrated that you float on top of the water. However you have rub yourself in the mud first. Or how about walking though old Jerusleum and seeing the butcher shops with the goat hanging in the window. I thought that the goats were out in the desert with the Bedowins.

We have a week here before we fly up to Luxor. It is going to be quite an adventure. I will get some pictures up as soon as I can but I can't promise when, as the tour is pretty intense. So far I have 500+ pictures.

I hope everyone is doing well. Ok I guess spell check doesn't work from here.

Damn Terry, you're a man on the move! This sounds like an awesome trip. I was gonna bug you about this summer's bike trip but it'll have to wait. You've had quite a year!

Over the last few weeks I've managed to read your entire Paris to Istanbull blog. Interesting posts, and I liked being able to click on pictures and get them in full screen. Fascinating to read how a trip like that works and what the hilights turn out to be.

Thanks for the adventure.

We met when you bought a TV from me at Soundsaround. With so much to tell, you need a bigger screen to show off the photos :-)
