Bucharest to Amsterdam

This will be my first cruise with Viking cruise s. It will be my third river cruise, having done a river cruise in China and one in Egypt. On this cruise Agnes and I are being joined by our good friends Jim and Sandra from Phoenix. We have been all over the world with them and we are looking forward to this trip with Jim and Sandra.
This cruise starts in Bucharest Romania and 21 days later arrives in Amsterdam. The first section of the cruise travels up the Danube River which Jim and I cycled down when we rode from Paris to Istanbul. The second part sails to Amsterdam Netherlands. I have ridden through some parts of this but it will be an exciting journey of exploration.
The river cruise ships are not destination cruises like the large ocean cruise ships. Instead the focus is on the itinerary, with special emphasis on the local history and culture.
We leave leave for Vancouver BC on May 12 where we over night. The next morning on the plane to Bucharest.
Getting pretty excited.
